I cant recommend this place enough, the owners - so kind and caring, made us feel very welcome. Peace and quiet was beyond our expectations. Birds singing , animals living their happy life on the farm. And the cabin by the river was the cherry on the cake place was clean and equipped with all the things you need - lovely surprise in the fridge of Read moremilk and fresh eggs. We have stayed twice now at Goblin Gill and we genuinely cannot fault it at all. It's a bit out of the way but it's exactly what we were looking for, the WiFi is decent for how far out you are. The property is lovely with lots to explore and lots of animals to cuddle and say hi to. The Goats and Pigs in particular are lovely. The shepherds hut was perfect, very clean and nicely decorated to give you both comfort and interest at the same time. The heating kept the hut at a nice temperature and the log burner was perfect for the chillier evenings

A wonderful place to get away from everything and have some down time, but with the reassurance of having owners on site if you need to ask anything. I had a solo stay with my dog and felt very safe. We had a wonderful stay. The Shepards hut is charming. And the kitchen/bathroom facilities were of a high standard with lots of character. An extra bonus was having some farm animals around which created a lovely atmosphere on the property. The surrounding area is stunning. Lots of beautiful walks and cycling possibilities around about. Beautiful location, fabulous facilities close by to the Shepherd which only add to the experience. We made use of the pizza oven and outside space. Hosts were super friendly and helpful. Abundance of birdlife and other wildlife.

I had a little getaway at goblin gill and had a wonderful time. Pete and Gail are fantastic hosts and made me feel at home. Amazing place with lovely hosts. It's the kind of place you want to keep a secret. Between the exceptional hut and great facilities there was also an array of animals. We were left some welcome gifts on arrival as well. Can't recommend enough.

Having used short break accommodation on countless occasions in the past 20 years I can easily say Gail & Pete are the best hosts we have ever encountered. They clearly love going the extra mile to bring joy to their guests and share the idyllic life they have created for themselves. I couldn't recommend Goblin Gill highly enough

What a beautiful place to stay. So quiet and peaceful it was just what we needed. We loved meeting all of the farm animals and the little hut by the river was perfect. Our dog loved having a paddle. Its a beautiful place to go and relax, seeing all the animals was my favourite part especially the pigs. Peter and Gail are such a lovely welcoming couple and thought of everything we could need. I can't wait to go again, hopefully in better weather.
