Lovely little Shepherds Hut, extremely private and tranquil. The wife, Cockerpoo and I have just returned from relaxing 3 night break. The place is clean with adequate facilities given the size and the hot tub is a great touch. We walked into Hereford one day and went to Hay-on-Wye. Both lovely places and worth visiting. The hut itself is in a remoRead morete location and difficult to find but the owners were very helpful. The local track is a little tricky if you have a low profile car but ok with care. Hide

Absolutely stunning location and the perfect secluded get away when you work a stressful job in the city. Beautiful views from the top of the hill across Hereford. We could completely relax in the hot tub and watch the stars come out without being overlooked by anyone. Also very dog friendly as fully enclosed garden so they can enjoy freedom too.

Our stay at Twyford Retreat was perfect for a little anniversary weekend away. The hut was clean, fresh and well kept. Owner was a great host and popped in to greet us and show us around and was always available if needed during our stay. The location is a little off the beaten track (so follow the not suitable for low/sports cars advice in the infRead moreo) lots of walking available and very quiet at night so great to relax in the evening in the hot tub. So peaceful and an amazing place to see the sky in it's element especially at night. The owners went above and beyond for us to have the weekend spent in the shepherds hut. Provided us with all we needed if not more. Will definitely be booking again. It was magical.

Stayed here for 3 days for a short getaway. Myself and my partner loved it. The hut was so cosy and the fire was a great touch. We had everything we needed for our stay. The views were amazing. We got lots of use out of the hot tub which was great. It was peaceful and quiet which is exactly what we wanted. Need vehicle to get to places. Roads leading to hut were terrible. Pot holes and flooded with mud and water. Not suitable for low vehicles.

The shepherds hut was perfect. It was in an isolated space, the hot tub was amazing, and even though we went at the end of November the hut didnt get that cold at all. Overall had an amazing, peaceful time. Would 100% recommend.

We stayed in the shepherds for three nights and my husband and I had an amazing time. Good communication with the owners and they were very approachable. The host made sure that we are ok on the day of an arrival and warmly welcomed us. It was super cosy and hot tub is an added treat. We stayed in the shepherd's hut and all I can say is what a beautiful property, rolling hills and our own private meadow to wonder in and right at the top you can look back over Hereford. All throughout the day all we could hear was the birds, this is by far the most peaceful place I've ever stayed. We were very politely and warmly welcomed by one Read moreof the owners who was extremely freindly and gave us information about the area and showed us how everything worked. Absolutely beautiful there are no faults to report. The owners communication was effective and even went and put the light on at the hut for when we arrived late and it was dark, made sure we were happy with everything and assured us to contact if we needed anything. Definitely would return

Lovely stay with our dog. The garden isnt fully enclosed but we have a long line so it wasnt an issue. The hut has everything you need and is very cosy. The garden is lovely with amazing views and the hot tub was excellent. There are great walks nearby as well as a secure field which is about a 20 minute drive away so our dog could have some time oRead moreff lead. Would highly recommend. Hide

A lovely peaceful retreat in gorgeous country side. Melissa and Richmond were on hand if needed but left us alone to enjoy our holiday. For a complete no frills peaceful getaway would highly recommend.
