Incredible experience, views stunning, cottage was spotless when we arrived with everything you could ask for provided for a lovely weekend away. The small things like a loaf of bread and some butter was lovely as was the presentation of the patio area. Overall, one of the best stays I have ever had.

Both quality and tastefully set up. Had to sit on the chair to access the fridge but that's down to my dodgy knees. Paving slabs were very slippery outside when wet. I managed to slip over onto my bum with Martin having to pick me up.

Had a brilliant weekend, food package is an excellent personal touch from a lovely friendly owner who was more than happy to tell us places to go for cycling and walking . The hut is well equipped and clean and tidy. I would highly recommend staying here and we cant wait to go back

We had a lovely stay in the Shepard hut and had a great time enjoying the area. The hut is very well equipped and makes for a perfect cosy getaway. We especially liked the little extras we found on arrival like homemade bread and jams. A very nice touch. We will definitely return in future.

A really lovely shepherds hut that had everything you need for a quiet and relaxing stay. The welcome pack of homemade bread, Victoria sponge cake, jam and marmalade was lovely.

We just got back from a weekend from this lovely hut. It was a really relaxing place and would definitely go again. The hut was well equipped with everything we needed, we can't fault it. The owners were lovely, especially their dog who could come and say good morning. Easy to find and not far from local walking routes. I had a lovely few days break here, its the perfect hut for a getaway. Equipped with everything you need and wonderful views to enjoy, inside and out. My partner and I have stayed in a few of these shepherd's huts and I can honestly say, this is one of the best. It is the only one we have stayed in that has a shower, that has wifi, a TV. The cottage is well arranged and doesn't feel cramped at all. It has lots of light and all the amenities of home. There's space for your luggage without it taking up space. A kitchen to prepare light meals and breakfast, adequate electronic charging points, and a shower room. It's amazing how it all fits, plus there is a dining table for two. This hut is the perfect spot for a week getaway! It came equipped with everything you could need (including a delicious homemade cake) and the owners were incredibly friendly and helpful. I cycled to the hut and it served as a great base to explore the Peak District from on my bike.

Wonderful reviews, location in the middle of the Peak District, close to the highlights. Considering the size of the hut, it is impressive how complete it was! Only negative is something the owners can't do anything about, which is that there's fairly frequent planes flying overhead.

We had a lovely time. The hut was clean, well equipped and the view from the location was lovely you could sit by the window and look out in the evenings or sit outside on the bench overlooking it. The hostess was welcoming and had a wealth of knowledge on the area and was accomodating. Would recommend a stay here. Scenic walks and challenging walkRead mores all within short drives. Absolutely perfect, lovely view, cosy but very clever use of space in the hut and all the little things are thought of. There was milk, eggs, jam, freshly made bread and a cake all waiting for us in the hut which was a wonderful sentiment and Robert, the host was very friendly and made some good recommendations of things to do locally.

We loved staying in this beautiful hut in the Peaks. Cathy and Robert were so kind that made a protection so that our one year old child doesn't get close to the fire place. We had good fun with lots of snow, loved the area, and the hut was the cherry on top with great views to the countryside. Superb choice, hope to come back again!

This is our third visit and as such we love it. The owners are very accommodating and are always available and eager to help in anyway they can, but also give you your privacy as well. We like everything about it and will come back again as soon as we can.

Me and my partner came here for our anniversary and it was beautiful. It was clean, comfy, friendly and overall a lovely place to be. The shops, cafes etc were quite a drive away which didn't really bother us but it was very out of the way from where we were staying. The only flaw we noticed was that there were a lot of flies as soon as we arrived Read moreand everywhere we went. For the price this little Sheperds Hut is the perfect getaway, nice and cosy but with good access to local tourist spots and towns/villages nearby. We cooked every night and thoug more of a challenge than usual it was definitely accomodated for, not off-putting and very doable. I absolutely loved my stay at Hut in the peaks! It was exactly what I was looking for, an initmate & cosy sanctuary, simple yet providing everything needed to make you feel at home. I was greeted by a lovely handwritten note and made to feel right at home with a basket of delicious homemade bread, jam, eggs and a gorgeous sponge cake, along with miRead morelk & beautiful golden butter in the fridge. We had a relaxing and fortunately sunny weekend at the hut . We were delighted with our stay ,the hut is well equipped, comfortable and all the furnishings / equipment were of very good quality .
